Helena chooses to tan with both Black Magic & Mine Tans, in a variety of colour bases. Offering both Express (1-3 hour) & Overnight tanning options to ensure your tanning experience suits your lifestyle.
For optimal results, your application is best applied 1-2 days prior to your special event.
Pre Tan Preparation
- Shower and exfoliate your skin.
- Do not apply moisturiser, perfume or deodorant.
- All hair removal, should be completed 24 hrs prior to your appointment to ensure your tan goes on evenly & no skin irritation occurs.
- Remove all jewellery before your appointment & long hair to be worn up.
After care
- After your tan, it is recommended you wear loose, dark clothing, thongs, slides or other loose footwear. If there is a chance of rain, please ensure you are covered head to toe to protect your fresh application.
- Depending on the choice of tan, Helena will advise you when to shower.
- Do not use any soap when you have your first shower. Simply rinse off the tan residue/bronzer with water in a 3-5 minute shower, and softly pat your skin dry. Your tan will look like it has all come off, but will continue to develop over the next 6-12 hours.
- If you receive an overnight tan, please be aware tan residue/bronzer may transfer onto your sheets and pyjamas.
- Avoid using deodorant, perfume, or moisturiser for the first 12 hours after your initial application.
- Avoid excess sweating or swimming for the first 24 hours.
- If you are wearing a white or a light coloured outfit & worried about your tan rubbing off onto your clothing. It is best to have your tanning application 2 days prior. This will ensure the initial bronzer has been removed with your first 2 initial showers.
- Tan extenders available in Light & Medium shades. Apply once a day to maintain & twice a day to darken.
