Q&A:
What is the Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatment?
A specially formulated treatment that reduces frizz. The advanced formulation restores the hair by infusing a special blend of keratin deep into the damaged cuticle. The keratin is bonded to the hair by the heat of the flat iron
How much time should I allow for the service?
Please allow a minimum of 2 hours. Time will be determined by hair length, type, density and texture.
What results can I expect after the Treatment ?
The hair will be more manageable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and smoother, with added life and shine.
When should I colour my hair ?
A great time to have the treatment done would be directly after colouring your hair. The colour will be sealed in, leaving you hair vibrant and extending the life of the colour.
However, you must wait two weeks to colour your hair AFTER the treatment.
Can it be applied to Chemically treated or permanently Straightened hair?
Yes, you must wait a minimum of two weeks before having the Keratin Smoothing Treatment.
How many days do I have to wait to wash my hair?
You must wait 4 days before washing your hair or swimming.
What do I do if my hair gets wet within the 4 days?
Blow dry your hair and straighten with a flat iron.
Can I put my hair up or clip it back?
Preferably not. Doing so may result in the hair having impressions from tight bands and clips.
What type of Shampoo & Conditioner should I use?
Sulphate & Sodium Chloride free shampoo and conditioner. Any products with these ingredients will strip the Keratin out of the hair almost instantly.
How often can I have a Keratin Hair Treatment?
The treatment can be applied as often as every 4 weeks.
Are subsequent treatments applied on the regrowth or the entire head?
All Keratin Treatments are applied to the entire head, as the build-up of keratin improves the results.
HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?
The treatment lasts up to 24 washes, depending on hair type, texture and porosity of the hair.
Should my hair be cut before or after my Treatment?
Preferably after as the Keratin as the hair sits differently after Keratin and it has a tendency to seal split ends depending on the extent of the damage, therefore reducing the need to cut off too much.
